《Library and Information Sciences: Trends and Research》(2014)出版!上线!
主编陈传夫 , Ronald Larsen
 
        武汉大学信息管理学院自1983年开始主办LIS学术期刊《图书情报知识》(Documentation, Information & Knowledge,www.dik.whu.edu.cn),主要面向LIS领域研究人员,刊发高水平学术论文。为推动国内LIS研究发展、促进国际LIS学术交流,武汉大学信息管理学院及《图书情报知识》编辑部于2013年7月开始与Springer合作出版丛书Library and Information Sciences : Trends and Research(《图书情报学研究趋势》)。
        该丛书由武汉大学信息管理学院、武汉大学信息资源研究中心、《图书情报知识》编辑部、武汉大学图书情报国际合作研究院联合主编,以传统订阅开放存取相结合(hybrid)的形式出版,将被Thomson Reuters的Book Citation Index– Science (BKCI-S)检索。
        该丛书设立有独立的编辑组,负责该书的编辑行政工作并承担出版发行等费用。
        该丛书预计两年出版一册。
        2014年版的《Library and Information Sciences: Trends and Research》(2014)现已上线、出版。主要作者为武汉大学信息管理学院LIS论坛特邀的全球范围本领域的著名专家与领导者,包括院长、知名专家、行业领袖、实践者。有兴趣的读者请上网查阅。

Dear Colleagues,
 
As a 90-year-old and the top-ranked LIS School in China, and also an iSchools’ member, the School of Information Management (SIM) has been hosting the academic journal, Document, Information & Knowledge (DIK, www.dik.whu.edu.cn) since 1983, which mainly targets the China’s LIS community, and successfully becomes one of the top-notch LIS journals in China. To further facilitate the LIS development, and especially to promote the iSchools’ movement, SIM has been publishing a book series in English entitled Library and Information Sciences: Trends and Research (LISTR) bycorporation with Springer Ltd.
 
The book series are co-edited by SIM, the Center of the Studies of Information Resources (CSIR) of Wuhan University, and the International Cooperative Academy of Library and Information (ICALIS) of Wuhan University, and published and distributed by Springer in a hybrid model, which makes its content available via both traditional subscription-based publishing and open access, under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial License, with one volume in every two years. The publications will be retrieved by Thomson Reuters Book Citation Index-Science (BKCI-S). An independent editorial board has been established to administrate the editing work and bear all the cost of the publication.

If you are interested and agree to publish your work with us under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial License, please contribute your manuscript (4,000 – 6,000 words, APA style) in English. The topics we’d like to involve, but not limited to, are as the following:

●   Trends of Library and Information Sciences(LIS) Education
●    Information Seeking and Retrieval
●    Informatrics
●    Development of World Libraries
 
Deadline of Submission: September 31, 2015
Notification of Acceptance: November 31, 2015
